Alex McMurray is one of the most accomplished songwriters and performers in New Orleans. He played himself on the HBO series “Treme” for several episodes. In 2020 he released two albums of original songs, Lucky One and Road Songs. During the pandemic he hosted the weekly “Fireside Chat” webcast every Tuesday night for over 100 straight weeks under his nom de covid “Mister Tuesday Night”. In 2022 he released his sixth solo album of original material The Recent Future. Alex will regale us with songs and stories from throughout his catalog for a great evening of music and friends.

Baritone saxophonist Dana Colley (ORIGINAL MEMBER OF MORPHINE) is the through-line between Vapors and “low rock” pioneers Morphine, who’s leader Mark Sandman left this earth while performing onstage in Italy in 1999. VoM performs much of the Morphine repertoire, plus new material and original versions of selective covers. They expand on the ethereal, hypnotic sounds popularized by the group in the nineties, and dig into their influences, from African music to delta Blues.
