Hailed by Alternative Press as the "...glorious love child of Joan Jett & Kurt Cobain," theWorst has been on a meteoric rise since their inception. Led by bandleader and true survivor, Brooke Binion, the band has gained a reputation as a one-of-a-kind raucous live act, fueled by an aggressive raw sound, anthemic songs and a brutally honest lyricism that is rare in today's highly commercial and often fabricated mainstream music scene. Having toured nationwide and coast to coast since 2016, theWorst features Binion on lead vocals and guitar, alongside Will Bradford (SeepeopleS) on bass and Craig Sala (Paranoid Social Club, Kurt Baker, Planeside) on drums. The band earned wide critical acclaim with the release of their debut album Jane Doe Embryo (RascalZRecordZ 2017), produced by Will Holland (Pixies, Fall Out Boy) and recorded at the legendary Chillhouse Studios in Boston, MA. Recently, theWorst released their second full length album with Will Holland, entitled Yes Regrets, which features guest musical contributions from the likes of Tony Bevilacqua (The Distillers, Spinnerette) Dana Colley (Morphine, Vapors of Morphine), Nikki Glaspie (Beyoncé, Nth Power, Maceo Parker, Griz), and Nate Edgar (Nth Power, John Brown’s Body). The album has been featured in Alt-Press, Revolver, Brooklyn Vegan, Under The Radar Magazine, Glide and many more. Theband is currently on tour in support of the album and back in the studio working on their third album on RascalZ RecordZ and on March 29th return to Sun Tiki, where the band has sold out their last two performances, for an unforgettable evening with theWorst and special guests Lake Over Fire. Carissa Johnson and Bean Surprise - the event also serves as an unofficial birthday party for theWorst lead singer, Brooke Binion. Do you need any more reasons to make plans to join us? Enigmatheory ~ A Modern Prog Rock band from Maine. The band members are Ronnie Lee (Drums/Lead Vocals/Synths), Scott Young (Guitars/Backing Vocals/Synths), and John Chenard Jr. (Bass Guitars). They write and record original music at their private HQ studio in Windham, ME. MANUEL ~ From coast to coast, calm to chaos–the diverse and dynamic career of Manuel Urgiles shines through on MANUEL, one of Maine’s most promising contemporary instrumentalists. The guitarist is a father of two: a mantle of pride, duty, and joy, one that has challenged–but ultimately championed–the man and the musician! MANUEL blends percussive passion, groove, and paint-peeling shred to deadly effect, Progressive Latin Metal. Proving that ‘soul’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘singer,’ this composer’s lyrical lines and lighting fingers ring with meaning and melodrama, remaining unspoken but leaving nothing unsaid across his music. Black Vinegar ~ Progressive Metal from right here in Portland, Maine!

90’s band Codeine is playing shows in support of their lost album Dessau, recorded in 1992 but released just last year, along with new, colored vinyl reissues of their three original Sub Pop records: Frigid Stars LP, Barely Real (EP), and The White Birch, all via the archival label Numero Group. With the release of Frigid Stars LP (1990), Codeine almost single-handedly invented what would later become known as "slowcore." Predating influential albums by kindred spirits Low and Duster by almost half a decade, Codeine's slow, graceful songs support lyrics that are a disturbingly pure embodiment of depression. Opening for Codeine is Portland based, next generation slowcore band Perfect Hair. Established in 2013 by Steven Conner, Cory McWilliams, Stefan Hansen, Dan Smith and joined now by Matthew Houston, collectively members of bands including Pamola, An Anderson, $300, Huak, Red Medicine and so many others!
